Ein Bild aus dem Golf von Alaska, das seit einigen Jahren im Internet die Runde macht-wenn auch vor allem in den letzten Wochen-zeigt ein seltsames Naturphänomen, das auftritt, wenn schweres, sedimentbelastetes Wasser aus Gletschertälern und Flüssen in die Der offene Ozean. Da ist der Golf, die beiden Wasserarten laufen ineinander, ein helles, fast elektrisch blau verschmilzt mit einem dunkleren Schieferblau. Die Erklärung für das Foto ist einfach, obwohl es viele falsche Vorstellungen gibt, auch diesen einprägsamen Titel. Insbesondere auf der populären Link-Sharing-Website Reddit, auf der Nutzer den Standort des Fotos mehrfach fälschlicherweise als "Wo sich die Ostsee und die Nordsee treffen" und die beiden Wasserarten als völlig unbrauchbar bezeichnet haben, stattdessen Dauerhaften gegeneinander wie eine Grenze auf einer Karte.
